In this article, we analyze some of the rules and features of Hoarfang in games of Super Dungeon. As we move forward, there will be some truly magnificent and enormous creatures to battle in the dungeons of Crystalia, and finally, our pantheon of Dragons will come into their own.
Hoarfang's unique rules stem from her tremendous size and power. A new rule we will be examining with Hoarfang (like most proper dragons) is Monstrous Size. A model with Monstrous Size occupies NINE squares, and uses the rules for moving large based models. They may move through walls and treat structure squares as open squares. Any wall or structure square a model with Monstrous Size moves through is considered difficult terrain for the rest of the game; you may want to mark it with a crystal token as a reminder.
So beyond crushing terrain to rubble, Hoarfang flies, has Improved Critical (doing extra wounds on critical hits), deals Ice damage to shut down heroes unique actions, and should an enemy be affected by Ice, then Crush will see it taking massive damage when hit.
If backed into a corner, Hoarfang also has the ability Lashing Tail, those icy spines making a deadly defence, in fact, giving Hoarfang an extra RED armor, and with Deadly Defence, when defending her critical defence rolls deal damage to the attacker!
We are excited to see Hoarfang out in the wild, smashing up your dungeons and chasing heroes out into the cold with her horrific howls of frosty ferocity. Make room on your shelf, you're going to need it!
